No you don’t need a referral. Physiotherapists are primary contact practitioners so you don’t need a referral to see us. We will however collaborate with your other health care professionals as required.
A GP referral is necessary only if you have a WorkCover or TAC claim or are a DVA or EPC client.
During your first consultation at Perform Physio + Pilates your physiotherapist will conduct a thorough assessment and examination of your condition and talk to you about your concerns and goals that you wish to achieve.
Our Physiotherapists are highly skilled in the ability to diagnose, identify causation, facilitate recovery, and fully rehabilitate and recondition.
Our care and rehab is grounded in evidence. We work together with our clients to achieve their unique goals enabling them to become an athlete within their own world, ensuring a complete recovery and optimal performance.
We use our hands and manual treatment to relieve pain.
We use Pilates to restore movement.
We use exercise to strengthen and recondition.
We understand that life is busy and sometimes our plans change. With this in mind we kindly ask that you give us at least 12 hours notice if you are unable to attend your appointment. Otherwise a cancellation fee of the full consultation fee will apply.
Before you book into a pilates class with us you need to book an Initial Clinical Pilates Assessment with one of our Physiotherapists. In this consultation your Physio will take a detailed history and physical exam, discuss your goals and then start to develop your individualized clinical pilates and exercise program so you can then participate in your Semi-Private Move + Load Clinical Pilates and Exercise Class.
There are lots of different parking options. There is street parking available out the front of the clinic. There are also car parking lots in the surrounding streets, one 4 hour car park off Ivanhoe Parade and a 3 hour parking lot across the road off Westley Ave.
Private health care rebate is available for clients who have Private Health Care with extras. HICAPS simplifies the private health fund claim process, allowing you to conveniently swipe and claim your private health rebate at the time of transaction through the EFTPOS terminal.
Cash, EFTPOS and credit card facilities are available.
